The Review. Reports on new and old standby restaurants in the Vail Valley - with an emphasis on Vail Village.

We enjoy periodic dining out experiences as much as do the visitors to our town.

However, being conservative by nature, we prefer these experiences during the shoulder seasons when most restaurants cut their entree charges by a third or a half and sometimes offer similar discounts on wine lists.

Listed below are reviews of a number of dining spots we've visited in the past few years.  In all cases should our opinion of the experience have changed through the present date, a note will be made in that regard.

Here's a list of the facilities we've written up.  Click the link to go to the review.

Leonora  The French Press Swiss Chalet Restaurant  Kelly Liken  La Bottega  The Left Bank   Sweet Basil   La Tour  Larkspur   Tavolaccio  Juniper Restaurant  Ludwig's  Up The Creek  La Tour Redux (2008)   Matsuhisa

While we're on the roads around this state and regionally, we've found a few nice rustic eateries that mostly focus primarily on breakfast and lunch.  Click our "good eats" page to check them out.
