7/18 - 19: One last trip to the Gunnison this week, and that will be it for us this year on that river. It was pretty indifferent fishing though the camping was fun. We worked the main stem the first afternoon and then tried it up the Black Canyon section the next morning to no avail. There were still a few sallies around, but hopper patterns were slightly more effective.
Here's the modest video of the trip:

7/29-31: Sue had an old friend's daughter's wedding to attend in Lander, Wyoming this past weekend so we decided to tie it in with a bit of fishing on the way home. We set out from Lander to try LaBarge Creek, but it was a longer drive than we wanted to make, so turned south instead. Drove back down 191 into Utah and took a left for the B Section of the Green below Flaming Gorge Dam.
Found the flows too heavy and the downstream winds too strong there so made short work of our attempts on that stream and then returned to Colorado and the White River above Meeker. It wasn't really great either, but we did enjoy some decent cutthroat fishing just below the outlet of Trapper's Lake. Aside from a flat tire courtesy of a nasty rock in a campground there, the trip turned out fine overall.
