Last Logbook Entry  é for previous day

3/16:  Fun! First time out here in Arizona on our golf course ponds for some nice sized largemouths.  Not a ton of number, but plenty enough to put a smile on my face.  Found out again that the little barbless hooks we use for trout fishing really don't work very well on bass.  Though we clearly don't have to do a neat forceps release on all the fish we hook, it would be nice to get a few more at least closer to the shore.

Came upon a couple of spawning nests in the upper pond that were still being guarded by the parents even though the fry were obviously long gone.  As the weather continues to warm this spring, hopefully we'll be able to put some kind of fly into a couple of oversized carp mouths as well.
