1/13: Ah. The first fish of the new year - and a nice sixteen inch brown it was. That's the good news. The bad was that both the Colorado and Roaring Fork were both so jammed with flow ice this afternoon it was a miracle the wooly bugger the brown chewed on could get anywhere near the bottom. It was pretty much impossible to get any kind of drift with either weighted buggers or heavy nymphs as the drifting ice almost immediately grabbed the leader and line and wrenched the fly to the surface. So another couple of hours casting proved fruitless.
